Mastic is a resin harvested from shrub-like trees on the island of Chios, Greece. Mastic was traditionally chewed for its breath freshening properties and is used in baking and beverages. The taste is best described as a cross between rosemary, lemon, and pine, but its complex flavor is something truly unique and special!
